AbstractA one-parametric Baecklund transformation (BT) is constructed for the open Toda chain with integrable boundary conditions of BC-type. Its canonicity is proved. The variable canonically conjugated to the parameter of the BT is constructed (so-called "spectrality" property). It is shown that the BT is related to a factorization of the Lax matrix.
