Graduate StudyYork is an excellent place to study Mathematics at Postgraduate level. Whether you are interested in one of our taught MSc courses, or have a particular research topic you are passionate about, York has something to offer. You will be taught and supervised by staff who have been recognised as producing internationally excellent research in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. We welcome students from all over the UK, Europe and Overseas. There is a fantastic atmosphere amongst the graduate students and staff are always on hand to give you the support you need. We have research groups in: We have approximately 25-30 students studying for a research degree each year. The interview process for EPSRC/STFC scholarships and any other available studentships begins in January and continues until all available scholarships are awarded. Applications should be submitted between November and January if possible. Further details can be obtained from maths-graduate-admissions . York is part of the MAGIC consortium of 19 UK mathematics departments, which since October 2007, are providing a large range of graduate level courses for research students via video link.
